Nabtesco and FLUX GmbH to Unveil RDS-C Link at SPS Nuremberg 2026
FLUX GmbH has partnered with Nabtesco Precision Europe to integrate its inductive encoder technology into Nabtesco’s new RDS-C Link. The solution combines Nabtesco’s precision cycloidal gearbox technology with a specially adapted encoder from FLUX’s IND-ROT series, enabling absolute position measurement directly at the gearbox output for improved positioning accuracy.
The RDS-C Link will be presented at SPS 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, from 24 – 26 November 2026 at Nabtesco’s stand in Hall 3A, Booth 426.
The FLUX encoder operates on a contactless measurement principle and is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the RDS-C Link. Via the hollow shaft connected to the output shaft, it detects absolute position directly at the output, ensuring more accurate position determination. With a resolution of up to 22 bits and an accuracy of up to ±18 arcseconds, it provides highly precise and reliable position feedback.
Thanks to its inductive measurement principle, the encoder is also suitable for harsh environments where dust, contamination or condensation can affect the reliability of optical sensing systems, and it features high EMC compatibility. The RDS-C Link is designed for applications where even the smallest angular deviations can be critical, such as satellite, antenna and radar systems, irradiation equipment and X-ray systems.
