meerecompany Signs Contract to Supply Revo-i to Paraguay

Revo-i to Paraguay

meerecompany has announced that it has recently signed a contract to supply Revo-i surgical robotic system to Paraguay, marking its first entry into the South American market.

Revo-i is the first Korean-made surgical robot to be developed and commercialized. It features high-resolution 3D stereoscopic imaging, a wide field of view, and precise movements enabled by multi-joint instruments. The robot helps surgeons to perform sophisticated procedures in an optimized environment and its innovative design makes it relatively easy for doctors new to robotic surgery to learn and use.

In 2024 meerecompany successfully exported Revo-i to Russia and Mongolia. In September, the company completed its third export to Uzbekistan. The Revo-i being supplied to Paraguay will be installed in medical institutions under the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare in Paraguay through a local medical device distributor.

This first export to South America demonstrates meerecompany’s ability to successfully diversify its markets globally and sustain growth. The company has achieved visible success not only in established markets like Uzbekistan but also in emerging markets such as Mongolia and Paraguay. This accomplishment underscores meerecompany’s technological excellence and reliability, as it continues to meet diverse medical needs and regulatory requirements across various regions.

South America is considered a high-growth market due to its increasing demand for advanced medical services and equipment. Paraguay, located at the heart of the continent, serves as a strategic hub, and this entry is expected to pave the way for further expansion into major South American countries like Brazil and Argentina. Ho Kun Lee, Executive Vice President of meerecompany’s Surgical Robot Division, stated, “Our superior technology, quality, and localization-focused strategy have proven effective in the global market, leading to positive outcomes. We plan to further expand exports and explore new markets next year. New sales opportunities are anticipated in several countries, including Southeast Asia, where regulatory certifications processes are currently in progress.”
