Each year, winners are selected through voting by the global surgical robotics community. With more than 50,000 votes cast since the awards were launched, they represent the industry’s most significant and respected form of peer recognition.

Winner: Steve Bell – Expert in MedTech & Surgical Robotics
Steve Bell brings over 30 years of experience in MedTech, including more than a decade leading multiple startup divisions at Johnson & Johnson. He also spent 20 years building and scaling MedTech startups globally. Throughout his career, Steve has raised over $1.5 billion in capital and played a key role in growing Europe’s largest medical device unicorn. Today, he is regarded as a key voice within the surgical robotics industry and provides advisory support to several leading surgical robotics companies.

SS Innovations International is advancing global access to robotic surgery through the SSi Mantra Surgical Robotic System, an indigenously developed platform designed to make robotic-assisted procedures more affordable and accessible. Recent milestones include surpassing 10,500 procedures performed with SSi Mantra globally, securing additional regulatory approvals in Colombia, Oman, Sri Lanka, and Kenya, and progressing its mobile telesurgery platform, SSI MantraM, for remote training, demonstrations, and surgical connectivity.

Winner: The Sentante Robotic System – Sentante
Sentante is a teleoperated endovascular robotic platform designed to enable remote vascular interventions using standard, off-the-shelf guidewires and catheters. It provides haptic force feedback and real-time robotic control to support precision during minimally invasive endovascular procedures, with its initial commercial version CE-marked for peripheral interventions. Additionally, Sentante’s next-generation system specifically designed for ischemic stroke treatment has received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and has been accepted into the FDA Total Product Life Cycle (TAP) Advisory Program, supporting its continued clinical development and regulatory progression.

By helping healthcare teams better understand operating room activity and performance, Maestro Insights supports more connected, data-driven surgical environments.

Led by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Brian Cohen, the practice serves Chillicothe, Grove City, and Columbus with same-day/next-day access, advanced technology, and personalized treatment. Dr. Cohen has performed more than 3,000 MAKO robotic-assisted hip, knee, and revision joint replacements using Stryker’s MAKO SmartRobotics™ platform. Beyond robotics, he is developing a next-generation ambulatory surgery center focused on advanced infection prevention, surgical innovation, and maximizing patient and staff safety while improving recovery and outcomes.
