NTI has announced that its surgical environment portfolio has been awarded a three-year agreement with Vizient’s Group Purchasing Organization. Vizient is the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the US. This contract includes NTI’s NEBULAE® I Insufflation System, NEBULAE® Laparoscopic Smoke Removal System (SRS), and StimSite™.
The NEBULAE® I is a high flow laparoscopic insufflator system that provides a flow rate of up to 50 liters per minute of temperature-controlled CO2 gas. It incorporates proprietary True Abdominal Pressure (TAP) technology that provides uninterrupted flow of gas to maintain a robust and consistent stable pneumoperitoneum. The highly visible, easy-to-use touch screen enables quick setup and provides intraoperative adjustments.
The NEBULAE® Smoke Removal System (SRS) is a closed-loop laparoscopic smoke removal device that can maintain pneumoperitoneum pressure while removing surgical smoke and plume from the patient. The SRS can also reduce CO2 gas usage, management, and costs. The device can pair with any standard luer-connection laparoscopic trocar and any brand insufflator necessary in robotic or laparoscopic procedures that require insufflation. The SRS was awarded the 2022 Innovation of the Year by the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons, a finalist in Groundbreaking Technology by Surgical Robotics Technology, and an Edison Award in 2023.
StimSite is an intuitive device that assists surgeons operating in robotic, laparoscopic, and open pelvic procedures. StimSite’s technology is a first of its kind that can verify ureter placement and pathway, as well as drastically reduce the risk of ureter injury and expedite cystoscopy procedures. StimSite was awarded with the 2023 Innovation of the Year by the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons, 2024 Big Innovation Award by the Business Intelligence Group, and an Edison Award in 2024.
“The entire NTI team is looking forward to bringing our award-winning technology to Vizient members and their patients. We are confident we can be partners in delivering technology to provide savings, safety, and efficiency in all areas of laparoscopic and robotic surgery.” David McDonough, Vice President and General Manager, Northgate Technologies Inc.
