Rob Surgical has announced the completion of the second series of surgeries it was performing at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, with whom it has a collaboration agreement in the field of Urology. With this new milestone, the technology company faces the final phase of European certification.
In this new series, surgeries have been performed on live patients, performing partial and radical nephrectomies and radical prostatectomy, thus extending the scope of the clinical studies of the Bitrack surgical robot and increasing the collection of data on real cases.
The achievement of these operations allows the company to continue advancing and broadening the scope of the robot’s usefulness, with the aim of covering all the needs of urology and extending its use to other specialties.
Surgeons Dr. Lluís Peri and Dr. Mireia Musquera, specialists from the Urology Service led by Dr. Antonio Alcaraz, have performed the surgeries in this new study.
This new milestone is a further step towards the company’s purpose; to universalise precision surgery to make it accessible to all hospitals, surgeons and patients around the world. In addition, the close alliance between Rob Surgical and Hospital Clínic de Barcelona drives the consolidation of precision surgery in the field of Urology. It is an achievement that will allow all patients in this field to benefit from the advantages of precision surgery.
