FISBA has announced its READYFlow, a compact and modular “one-box” solution engineered to meet the demanding requirements of next generation flow cytometry. READYFlow delivers application-specific laser illumination with exceptional beam uniformity and stability and multi-wavelength compatibility – all in a flexible, integrator-friendly format.
Technical Performance
READYFlow supports standard cytometry wavelengths (e.g., 488 nm, 561 nm, 640 nm) and offers mechanical and optical customization for seamless integration into compact instrument architectures. It can be combined with existing FISBA laser solutions such as READYSpot, and also used with third-party laser sources—offering maximum flexibility.
Key technical features include:
- Constant Power Across the Flow Cell – Top-hat beam profile ensures uniform excitation and consistent signal strength.
- Preadjusted Spot Geometry – Tailored line shape, spacing, and working distance based on customer flow cell specifications.
- Simplified Alignment – Optimized optical design reduces sensitivity to positioning, enabling easy x/y/z adjustment in front of the flow cell.
- Wavelength Flexibility – Supports single or multiple wavelength configurations for multiplexed assays.
- Compact, Rigid Housing – Ensures long-term stability and easy mechanical integration.
Why Top-Hat Matters in Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometry relies on accurate light–cell interaction for reliable data.
Unlike Gaussian beams, which peak at the center and taper off, top-hat
beams provide uniform intensity throughout the beam cross-section.
Versatile Integration
READYFlow is available in both Gaussian and top-hat beam profiles, enabling users to choose the illumination format that best fits their application. Its modular design makes it ideal for rapid prototyping and scalable production, supporting both R&D teams and OEM product platforms.
Meet FISBA at Laser World of Photonics
FISBA will showcase READYFlow along with its complete READYModules product line at Laser World of Photonics 2025 in Munich. Attendees are invited to visit the FISBA booth to explore how custom-engineered optical modules can accelerate
product development and deliver measurable performance gains.
