Aimooe Optical Positioning System
The optical positioning camera is able to provide precise positioning for image-guided surgery.
The optical positioning camera will emit near-infrared light within the field of view. By receiving the near-infrared light reflected back from the surgical tool, the camera will obtain the real-time position and orientation of the surgical tool. Placing a surgical tool with reflective markers near the surgical spot, the positioning camera can pinpoint the accurate position of the surgery by algorithm. Calculating the 3D coordinates of the surgical tool in real space, the camera converts these coordinates into image space, and then transmits these data to the host application, thus enabling the planning of surgical paths in the application.
Used with different surgical tools, optical positioning camera can apply to different surgical scenarios. Currently, the optical positioning camera has been applied to many surgical scenarios, the most common being neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery, such as knee replacement, hip replacement and ACL surgery.
