Soliton Systems Announces Development of Breakthrough Technology in Narrowband Live Streaming

Narrowband Live Streaming

Soliton Systems announces significant enhancements to its flagship product, Zao-X. With the addition of new narrow band features, Zao-X now offers unparalleled live streaming capabilities, even in bandwidth-constrained environments.

The Zao-X, already renowned for its cutting-edge technology and ultra-low latency, has been further optimized to support narrow band transmissions with bit rates as low as 15kb per second. This breakthrough is particularly beneficial for scenarios where bit rates are limited or expensive, such as satellite communications. With three new settings – low band (50-120 kb/sec), narrow band (25-50 kb/sec), and ultra-narrow band (15-25 kb/sec) – Zao-X provides exceptional live streaming performance, ensuring high-quality video delivery in resource-constrained networks.

One of the key strengths of Zao-X is its ability to maintain high reliability and ultra-low latency even in challenging environments. The RASCOW2 (Real-time Auto Speed Control based On Waterway-model) protocol, Soliton Systems’ second-generation codec for video optimization, enables fast and adaptive encoding that maximizes network bandwidth utilization. This ensures that live streaming remains stable and highly reliable, delivering a seamless viewing experience.

Zao-X’s new narrow band features open up a world of possibilities for various industries. From satellite communications to mobile surveillance, teleoperation, and remote control of drones, robots, vehicles, and machinery, Zao-X empowers organizations to achieve seamless control and operation with real-time video streaming.

“We are excited to introduce the enhanced narrow band features to our Zao-X product, further solidifying its position as a game-changer in live video streaming,” said Kerim Šare  ‘Global Business Manager’ at Soliton Systems. “By enabling live streaming at extremely low bit rates, we offer a cost-effective solution for bandwidth-constrained environments, including satellite communication scenarios. Zao-X’s unmatched reliability, ultra-low latency, and support for various use cases make it an invaluable tool for industries ranging from broadcast and surveillance to teleoperation and autonomous driving.”

In addition to its narrow band capabilities, Zao-X continues to provide exceptional features. The hardware transmitter for cellular networks supports fully encrypted live video streaming, allowing simultaneous return data feeds from operations centers for real-time control of surveillance PTZ cameras, broadcast cameras, robots, drones, and other remote-controlled devices. Zao-X can reliably live stream over multiple bonded 4G and 5G SIM cards from different network providers, ensuring maximum bandwidth and resilience. Furthermore, it supports Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity for added flexibility.

Zao-X’s outstanding performance is backed by its ability to achieve an end-to-end latency as low as 0.04 seconds, ensuring minimal delays in video transmission. The support for 4K UHD streaming further enhances the visual quality, offering four times the resolution of HD.

The Zao-X, along with its new narrow band features, is available for immediate shipping. Interested parties are invited to contact Soliton Systems via their website for more information. Visit www.solitonsystems.com to explore the full range of Soliton’s live streaming and IT security solutions.
