Northgate Technologies Inc. (NTI) has been named a finalist in the 2024 Edison Awards for the second year. The company is being honored in the Health, Medical & Biotech category for its StimSite Smooth Muscle Stimulation device. The Edison Awards™, named after the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison, recognizes some of the most innovative products and business leaders in the world including Steve Jobs, Gwynne Shotwell, Ginni Rometty and Lanzatech, Apple and Lockheed Martin. This prestigious accolade honors excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human centered design and innovation.

StimSite is an intuitive device that assists surgeons operating in pelvic procedures in both robotic and non-robotic surgeries. StimSite’s technology is a first of its kind that can verify ureter placement and pathway, as well as drastically reduce the risk of ureter injury and expedite cystoscopy procedures.
