Device Authority, a leader in identity and access management (IAM) for the Internet of Things (IoT), and BSI, the business improvement and standards company have joined forces to extend BSI’s cybersecurity capabilities in EMEA and North America to include Identity Access Management for IoT for the first time.
The partnership follows BSI’s recent renaming of its Cybersecurity and Information Resilience division (CSIR) to ‘BSI Digital trust’ to reflect the evolution of the security and resilience landscape. Device Authority’s work with BSI will enable them to ensure that their client’s connected devices, applications, and data are protected against potential security threats. The collaboration will provide organizations with best practice security solutions to protect and manage IoT devices throughout their lifetime.
The recent Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Bill has illustrated the societal need to combat the harms enabled through insecure connected products and networks. Together with BSI, Device Authority’s state of the art technology will support customers around the world to protect their brand integrity and provide trust for IoT devices with built-in security measures from the start. This partnership will enable businesses to meet the challenges of IoT at scale and ensure they meet regulatory compliance, avoiding fines and reputational damage.
Darron Antill, CEO at Device Authority commented: “Digital trust throughout the device lifecycle is vital and working with BSI will help many businesses to understand how to ensure a secure IoT roll out at scale. Our centralised security platform helps companies to simplify and automate their IoT security processes with an all-in-one solution, protecting their connected devices against cyber attacks.”
Mark Brown, Global Managing Director of Digital Trust at BSI added; “We are at the forefront of sharing and embedding security best practices within organisations and, given the evolving cyber threat landscape and the proliferation of new, increasingly connected technologies, our work with Device Authority is an important part of instilling Digital trust. The demands of the pandemic have also accelerated digital transformation programmes in many organisations and our partnership will help to ensure these programmes can be delivered at pace and scale in a secure and resilient way.”
