CMR Surgical Announces Supratim Bose as Chief Executive Officer


CMR Surgical announces that Supratim Bose has become Chief Executive Officer, taking over from Per Vegard Nerseth with immediate effect.

Supratim joined the Company in February 2023 as a senior advisor to the CEO, taking over the leadership of the Asia, Middle East and Africa region, leading commercial operations across the three regions.

Supratim joins CMR with more than 40 years of extensive senior leadership experience in the medical technology industry. He has held several leadership positions in global organisations, including Johnson & Johnson (J&J), Boston Scientific and ConvaTec. Supratim takes up the appointment as the Company further commercialises the business, with more than 100 Versius systems installed globally.

With extensive MedTech leadership experience, Supratim will now step into the role of CEO, overseeing the Company’s global roll out of the Versius® Surgical Robotic System.

CMR now has operations in more than 20 markets with growing demand for a versatile surgical robotic system. Versius is the only small, versatile, modular and portable surgical robot on the market and is suitable for all sizes of hospitals and surgical care centres. The system allows surgeons the versatility to perform fully robotic as well as a combination of robotic and manual laparoscopic procedures, giving them freedom to decide how to provide patients with the best possible surgical care.
