The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society (ASES), an internationally recognized Shoulder and Elbow Specialty Society made up of leading national and international orthopedic surgeons, has announced an exclusive partnership with PrecisionOS, an award winning VR simulation platform. The cutting edge software will be used from coast to coast across all ASES fellowships. As a premier society focused on advancing the education, research and delivery of shoulder and elbow care globally, the ASES will be collaborating with PrecisionOS to integrate virtual reality for all fellows in support of this agenda.

Providing access to high quality and readily accessible hands-on surgical education is our number one priority at PrecisionOS” says Dr. Danny Goel, an orthopedic surgeon in Vancouver, BC and Chief Executive Officer of PrecisionOS. “It is a privilege to partner with my colleagues at the ASES to advance virtual education while providing a platform for surgeons and learners to connect in the Virtual OR from anywhere in the world.”

With this partnership the ASES establishes itself as the first society to be scaling up its investment in surgical training solutions leveraging the unique benefits and scope of virtual reality.

The ASES continues to lead educational pursuits for the advancement of care for patients with shoulder and elbow problems. The newly established collaboration with PrecisionOS to utilize virtual reality in the treatment of shoulder conditions is another step forward in our mission” said Dr. Mark Frankle, President of ASES.

In collaboration, the ASES and PrecisionOS are committed to advancing this  transformative solution and re-defining the delivery of hands-on shoulder and elbow surgical education.
