The ROBA® brake-checker® is a smart module for monitoring and optionally supplying (released) safety brakes. It is installed in the control cabinet, analyzes the characteristic current and voltage curves in the supply line to the brake and draws clear conclusions about its operating state.
The ROBA® brake-checker® is far more than just a replacement for release monitoring and wear monitoring with microswitches and proximity switches: By recording additional measurement parameters (e.g. switching times, voltages or coil resistance of the brake), the ROBA® brake-checker® enables advanced analyses and conclusions on complex correlations – in the brake and machine.
As a sensorless monitoring system, the function and reliability of the ROBA® brake-checker® are not impaired by ambient conditions or mechanical influences on the safety brake. The ‘plus’ versions of the ROBA® brake-checker® include the function of a ROBA® multiswitch or ROBA® switch 24 V and therefore also supply the brake.
