6 Surgical Robotics Companies Funding Rounds in 2025

1. Cornerstone Robotics

Cornerstone Robotics secured over $70 million in Series C financing led by EQT with participation from Qiming Venture Partners, Alpha JWC Ventures, the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund, eGarden Ventures, CTS Funds, K2VC, Long-Z Capital, etc. This brings their total funding to approximately $273.57 million.   

Cornerstone Robotics’ funding will accelerate the company’s efforts in advancing the commercialisation process, developing new surgical robotics products, conducting clinical trials, obtaining regulatory approvals, and promoting global adoption of advanced robotic surgical solutions. 

2. Convergence Medical

Convergence Medical  Series A funding was led by U.S.-based company Avicella Capital. In total, the company has raised $3.3 million in funding. 

Convergence Medical will use the funding to support the development and commercialization of their VO1 arthroscopic surgical robot, and to facilitate expansion into the U.S. market. The VO1 system is designed to enhance precision and reduce the physical and cognitive burden on surgeons during orthopaedic procedures. 

3. iotaMotion, Inc.

This brings iotaMotion’s total funding to approximately $25.9 million. 

iotaMotion will use the growth capital to scale commercial operations while driving further innovations for the iotaSOFT® robotic-assisted insertion system for cochlear implant surgery. The Series B raise also came with an expansion of the Board of Directors with the welcome addition of Jeff Hopkins. Hopkins, a seasoned leader with 30 years of experience in medical technology. 

4. CMR Surgical

CMR Surgical successfully closed a financing round exceeding $200 million, comprising a mix of equity and debt capital, to support its ambitious global growth strategy. The round was backed by all the company’s major existing investors and includes a new debt investment from Trinity Capital, underscoring strong investor confidence in CMR’s vision. This takes CMR Surgical’s  total funding to over $1 billion. 

The funding will be used to accelerate the commercial rollout of the Versius® Surgical Robotic System to hospitals worldwide, with a particular emphasis on launching Versius® in the United States. It will also support continued innovation in surgical robotics and the development of new technologies, including the introduction of the enhanced Versius® Plus system. 

5. ForSight Robotics

ForSight Robotics completed a $125M Series B round led by Eclipse. In addition to Eclipse, the funding round included significant participation from an undisclosed strategic investor, as well as Dr. Fred Moll, the Adani Group, Reiya Ventures, and other existing investors – bringing ForSight Robotics’ total funding to $195M. 

The investment accelerates the next growth phase for ForSight Robotics and its ORYOM™ Platform, the world’s first robotic surgery system for cataract and other eye diseases. The platform is designed to enhance surgical precision, increase patient access to high-quality treatment, and reduce the physical burden on surgeons, as the company prepares to launch first-in-human clinical trials this year. 

6. EndoQuest

EndoQuest Robotics, Inc. has announced that it has successfully closed a Series D-2 financing round. Funding for the round was co-led by Crescent Enterprises and Dr. Fred Moll. The total funding amount raised so far is approximately $125.66 million. 

This strategic funding will fuel the advancement of EndoQuest’s flexible endoluminal surgical platform, supporting the ongoing pivotal PARADIGM clinical trial and accelerating the pathway towards U.S. FDA clearance, as well as early feasibility studies in the upper GI tract and progression of advanced endoluminal visualisation technologies in the company’s portfolio.
